IN THE NORTHERN SKIES, I HEAR THE CRIES,
OF CENTURIES OF FIGHTING,
IN NORTHERN FIELDS, THE EARTH DOTH SCREAM,
AND THE TERROR HERE IS FRIGHTENING!
THE ANCIENT WALLS, INCITE THE WAR,
AS IT PASSES DOWN TO CHILDREN,
THERE'S NO SURRENDER, OR SIGHT IN END,
ON THE BLOODY ROAD TO FREEDOM.
ON SOUTHERN GREENS, THERE IS NO QUEEN,
BUT THE SCRAPINGS FROM HER TABLE,
WHERE BIGOTS ROOST, BEHIND THE RUSE,
AND FREEDOM'S JUST A FABLE!
THE PAPERS SIGNED, AND FATE RESIGNED,
NOW VULTURES STOLE THE CULTURE,
AS THEY CALLED THE TUNE, ON THIS ROAD TO RUIN,
AND THE BLOODSHED WAS THE FUTURE!
IN ANGRY FIELDS, THERE IS NO DEAL,
TO EASE OR STOP THE LOATHING,
THE CHURCH BELLS TOLL, TO KEEP THE SCORE,
AND THE BODYCOUNT KEEPS SOARING!
IN GOD'S GOOD NAME, THEY LAY THE BLAME,
ACROSS THEIR SHADY PULPITS,
IN THE GREAT DIVIDE,WHERE MANY DIED,
THERE FESTERS HERE AN ULCER.
SO SING A SONG OF ENDLESS WAR,
AND REJOICE IN THE SLAUGHTER,
WITH NO LESSONS LEARNED, BUT GLADLY SPURNED,
THEY SHOOT FROM DIFFERENT ALTARS!
IT'S A BLOODY ROAD TO FREEDOM HERE,
AND A BREEDING GROUND FOR TENSION,
A VOLCANO SPARK LIGHTS UP THE DARK,
AS WE AWAIT THE NEXT ERUPTION!
THIS LAND OF IRE, A WAR EMPIRE,
APART, ADRIFT AND FLOATING,
THE WORDS OF PEACE, SPIT LIKE DISEASE,
AND LEAVE THE PEOPLE CHOKING,
THE STENCH ENTRENCHED 'ITS THEM V THEM,
A BLINDFOLD NEVER YIELDING,
IN EMERALD GREEN, THE HATED QUEEN,
SHE KEEPS THIS CESSPIT SEETHING!

I got into the Subhumans via a cassette tape that was available via the excellent New Crimes Fanzine back in 1981.
These songs remind me of that excellent and then new grassroots anarchist punk period.
The said cassette tape is available on YouTube....give it a blast.
Acne, chips and peas to yas all 🤗
